This meaningful 9-day family journey to Taiwan offers the best of both worlds.

Children dive deep into language acquisition with a 5-Day Mandarin Immersion Camp and a 2-Day Cultural Exchange Camp with local peers. Simultaneously, parents are free to enjoy curated cultural experiences and self-guided explorations of Taipei.

Every evening, the family comes together for exciting, shared adventures. Options include vibrant night markets, strolls through historic old streets, experiencing fun local activities like shrimp fishing, etc. Last day, you will join our family trip to Pingxi for an unforgettable memory.

To ensure the most seamless and enriching experience for our families, we have refined our 2026 itinerary.

 

We’ve consolidated our favorite activities into a new add-on programs, offering even more curated excursions for adults during camp hours and streamlined shared adventures for the whole family.

Itinerary*

DAY 1 - Arrival & Welcome (Sun, June 14)

Arrive in Taipei on Sunday morning. Most nonstop flights arrive early, allowing families to drop luggage at the hotel before check-in. Optional: Join Featured Family Adventure and kick off your journey with our Pineapple Cake DIY workshop at Kuo Yuan Ye Museum—craft buttery, golden cakes from scratch while shaking off the jet lag from 2 PM to 4 PM (advance booking required; limited spots). Afternoon welcome dinner at 6 PM and orientation for all families.

DAY 2 - First Day of the Mandarin Camp (Mon, June 15)

Kids start their Mandarin camp (9 AM – 4 PM) with morning language lessons and afternoon hands-on activities. Parents enjoy a free day to explore Taipei’s food and culture. Featured Adult Excursion (Add-on): While the kids are thriving at camp, join us for Imperial Art & Peaks. Experience a masterclass in history at the National Palace Museum before ascending to the dramatic volcanic steam vents and scenic heights of Yangmingshan. Evening: Optional self-guided Taipei 101 city walk.

DAY 3 - Heritage Walks  (Tue, June 16)

Kids continue their camp (9 AM – 4 PM); parents have daytime freedom for personal exploration. Featured Evening Family Adventure (Add-on): Join our Dihua Street Historical Stroll—an immersive guided walk through baroque architecture, colorful textiles, and traditional merchant crafts.

DAY 4 – Field Trip & Night Market Discovery (Wed, June 17) 

Kids join a camp-organized field trip (9 AM – 4 PM) for real-life Mandarin practice and cultural exploration. Featured Adult Excursion (Add-on): Join us for Northeast Coast Adventure—cycle through a historic seaside tunnel and hike the majestic Bitoujiao cliffs. Evening Add-On: Experience the Ningxia Night Market Feast—one hour of guided market energy followed by seated tasting comfort at our exclusive 'Thousand-Year' banquet.

DAY 5 - Yilan Exploration (Thu, June 18)

Kids continue their camp (9 AM – 4 PM); parents have daytime freedom for personal exploration. Featured Adult Excursion (Add-on): Trade the city for the peaks on our Yilan Tea & Spirits tour. Hand-harvest highland tea and explore the world-class Kavalan Whisky Distillery, topped with a gourmet farm-to-table lunch.

DAY 6 - Taipei Eye Opera (Fri, June 19)

Kids continue their camp (9 AM – 4 PM); parents have daytime freedom for personal exploration. Evening Add-On: Immerse yourselves in the Taipei Eye Performance. Enjoy one hour of behind-the-scenes makeup and costume photos followed by one hour of high-energy Peking Opera.

DAY 7 – Cultural Exchange & Local Fun (Sat, June 20)

Children join local kids for 2 days of exchange through food-making workshops, market missions, and language games. Parents continue their own exploration or optional tours. Evening: Optional shrimp-fishing dinner experience—a unique Taiwanese pastime (concierge booking available).

DAY 8 - Friendship Building (Sun, June 21)

Students continue their cultural exchange camp. Parents enjoy a free day to explore Taipei’s food and culture.

DAY 9 - Family Day Trip (Mon, June 22)

End the week with a family-friendly day trip to northern Taiwan. Explore Bisha Harbor, taste fresh seafood, visit Shifen Old Street, and release sky lanterns in Pingxi, a beloved tradition for wishes and new beginnings.

Day 10 - Departure Day (Tue, June 23)

Families depart from Taipei. Airport transfers can be arranged upon request. We hope you leave with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper connection to Taiwan’s language and culture.

  • 5 Full Days of of Immersive Mandarin Camp (ages 5–12+):  immersive language and culture program for children with 1:10 teacher–student ratio (1:8 including support staff). Children’s lunch provided each day. Friday field trip included, covering bus, tickets, meals, and insurance.

  • 2-day Cultural Exchange Camp (ages 6–12+): themed “From Market to Table,” promoting real-life learning, teamwork, and bilingual interaction with local students.

  • Welcome Dinner at one of Taipei’s highly rated family-friendly restaurants (Day 1)

  • Farewell Seafood Lunch in Keelung (Day 9)

  • Curated Insider Guide  with practical tips, local recommended restaurants, services, sightseeing tips, adult classes, remote working spaces, etc.
