Yes — comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants and is sometimes required by the destination for entry. Coverage should include emergency medical care, trip cancellation or interruption, lost baggage, and protection for planned activities.

Your personal health insurance may not cover you overseas, and government-issued plans often have limited benefits. Even if you must purchase a local policy for entry, we recommend adding a plan from a trusted provider for complete protection.
